True....but the newbie in the 1 ton has got a better chance than the newbie in the 1/2 ton. Unfortunately too many with 3/4 and 1T trucks think theirs "can do anything", and in turn skimp on the hitch or worse, try to tow without a WD hitch....
Scary thinking about that Expy going 30 mph up that long grade. Just came back from a road trip to see DD #2 in NJ and pulled that same grade. Although we didn't camp this trip, we had DW's 05 Dodge Magnum with the 5.7 Hemi...so passed many many semis LOL...
Just "lucky" I guess that this guy was pulling uphill to his destination and came to the realization how overloaded he was....imagine what would have happened had he been headed DOWN that grade on the way to the CG...he may not have made it.
