I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry when I saw this one. My wife and I are considering the transition to full-timing next year and will move up to a fiver if we do. I've known (and gone to church) with the manager at our local RV dealer for about 20 years. The first time we drove the new Duramax to the dealer to sit in fivers for a while, we were going back into the building with the manager when one of his salesmen asked what we had been looking at. As we talked, the salesman asked what we planned to pull with... the manager almost cut him off to say, "Aw, his truck will pull anything on our lot." I assume he meant even the DRV Mobile Suites residential unit at 18K... with my 2500HD SRW. I have weighed the truck and made all the calculations (subtracting scale weights from mfg. specs) - and I'll probably still stick with no more than 80% of what the numbers allow. I have an image of the spreadsheet on my phone so I'll have it to reference any time we're doing a lookie-loo.
