Being in the same area as the OP, I'd be interested to know which place (assuming it was one around the area) sold that guy the way too heavy unit for his TV.
I know there are plenty of sales people who only care about selling whatever will put the most dollars in their own pockets.....Thankfully, the dealer we bought from looked up our vehicle before we got serious about any units on the lot. They verified the rating and even stated "we prefer to see our customers buy something around 75% of their vehicles rating or lower" (I had already researched it myself and knew what I was comfortable with, anyway)
