Only concerned with the 2003 to 2009 Dodge front ends when it comes to just the added weight of wheels not so much in regard to backspacing. Other than that I really like the visions and 19.5 tires. These year trucks with the Cummins has had many documented front end issues. Dodge made many changes to the front ends after 2009 and newer trucks so I have read.

I understand. But when searching around for photos I found one of those Vision wheels on the Superduty generation same as mine, and they stuck out past the fender lips.

The back spacing annoyed me until I put them on, now I like the added width and stability.

Yeah the one size fits all backspacing is a deal breaker. And I dont want steel wheels. I was hoping there was a other option for my SRW Ford. Guess I will stick with what I have until the day comes I end up with a wonton. Im still within weight limits. Thank you for the info and sharing your experiences.

It's not the Vision wheels you wait for. It's the Rickson custom made steel wheels you wait for. If you want the OEM backspacing, you get Rickson wheels. If you want aluminum, zero offset, Chinese wheels, you get Vision 81's and you can get them quickly. Those are your choices for SRW trucks.

Don't know how important it is, but because of the Dodge front end history, I thought that keeping the OEM backspacing intact might be better for long term durability??

I would be lying to you if I was not concerned with OEM backspacing especially regarding the 3 rd generation Dodge front end. Lord knows how much $$$$ I have spent on front end already just upgrading from stock 265 Michelins to Nitto terra and Durra 285s let alone the 19.5s. The ricksons are heavier than the visions I believe so that can be a concern too. Roll the dice!!!

Years ago, I had a friend who owned and ran a custom wheel shop. I was a welder at the time, and on occasion would give him a hand when he got backed up. I can relate to the improper welding of the rim to the wheel center. I am miffed as to why is was not seen when the wheel was built, inspected before shipped to Rickson, and when the tire was mounted.

That is enough to prevent me from buying from Rickson.

I too have the Michelin 19.5 xds M&S's. Mentally, I have learned to sing along with them. I am used to it now, and it helps me to ignore the voices. :B It did take me a while to get used to the singing tires, but I am okay with it now. The singing tires never bothered my wife at all.

I have never felt any wandering at all. I have experimented with air pressure, from 70 to 120 psi. With the TC loaded, I really could not tell any difference by the seat of my pants. Empty, at 120 it was like riding on a ping pong ball. Typically I run about 85 psi, loaded or empty.

I have had my tires for about seven years.
