While our couch folds down into a bed, it is not all that comfortable, and it blocks passage from our bedroom to the rest of the trailer. It would work in a pinch, but it is not practical.
We got our TT because it has oversized bunks. My daughters are 21 and 23 still occassionally come with us camping, and they need their space. I would have liked to have a separate room for them, but I didn't want to get any bigger/heavier of a TT. This is a good compromise. If they ever get married and/or have kids, maybe we'll have other people coming with us sometime in the future.
