Question about a bundle of wires

Hi Gang,

Have a 2009 Tango Travel Trailer, 311BHSS model. Owned it since 2010. Just replaced the 12 volt battery with a pair of 6 volts and noticed a bundle of wires that are taped up near the battery box. They are not connected to the battery, and have no terminals on them, just cut clean off on the end. They are 14 gauge wires, one red, one white. Looks like this was bundled up at the factory like that.

I follow the wires and they go into the front left corner of the floor. Can't see past that.

Any ideas of what they are for?

thanks a bunch, I tried google / search but must not be using the correct terms.

I think it is prewire for an option not installed.
Solar or tank heaters is all I can imagine.

Really need to find the other end.

    x2
    Try calling the manufacturer
  • I just called them this morning, and the fellow in service thought if it was solar, it would be 10 ga wire. He seemed to think it would be heater pads on the tanks, such as smkettner suggested... I never would have thought of that.

Either way, everything seems to work in the trailer, and the underbelly is completely enclosed, so it may just remain a mystery for now, LOL.

Replace your picture with this: (yours is way big)

sorry about that, it looked OK on my computer.
  • ok, just resized it on photobucket. Let me know if it is better now.
  • It's actually here on RV.net that you have to make the size change. scroll up to your large picture and click the edit button. find the part where it says height=640 width=480 and change it to height=320 and delete the width part. The servers will automatically fill in the missing pieces. This will allow the picture to display smaller on the screen which keeps readers from having to scroll side to side to see the entire image.

For an example of what I'm trying to say scroll to the post where 2oldman has your picture displayed but about half the size. Click the quote button on that post and look at how his height is defined.

If you mess yours up too much you can always just go back to and quote the post from 2oldman. Then just copy his post from img to /img making sure to include the square brackets and replace yours with that.
