When are you heading to AK for "summer" and where do you plan on going? Different parts of AK vary widely in temperature and weather patterns year round. Up here in Fairbanks in July it might be sunny and 80* during the day and 60* at night where on the same day in Kasilof it might be 55*, windy & rainy during the day and 45* at night.
Either way I wouldn't bother with storm windows if you don't already have them, and I've camped down to -30*F ambient without them.
