That's just the point - the OP is intending to buy a 1500 series RAM but wants to tow a way too heavy trailer with that truck. Regardless of axle ratio he'll run out of payload capacity with
any 1/2 ton RAM if he intends to tow a trailer this heavy ... so he's
not matching the trailer to the truck. :R
