The manufacturer's have different max inflation psi's for the tires than the manufacturer of the tires do. And for a double whammy they even have different max payload numbers too.
For example, my OEM tires clearly state 23xx max lbs, and 44psi. But, the Ford fleet specs state 35 psi, and 2164 lbs.
So, do I believe Ford? Or the company that actually made the tires? Where did that 400 lbs and 9 psi go to?
I'll go with the tire manufacturer, and leave the Truck building to Ford.
