Question about my Zinger's plug.

Hey guys ( and gals ). Got a little jacknifed last trip ( SMALL Taco Bell parking lot ) and pinched the main plug from TT to my truck. Can someone tell me if this plug is generic and if so what length of wire do I need to have left to reconnect? The pinch is about 1.5 ft from the plug end. Do I have enough to just reconnect with a new plug or do I have to get a whole new wire/plug setup. And like I asked are they all the same? I have a 2013 Zinger 28BH TT by Thor. with a 2011 Ford F150 Ecoboost Crew Cab XLT ( short bed ).
Tenessee next month and no way am I going with a rigged plug!
Hope I gave enough info.
Thanks in advance.
God Bless.

  • Yaeh I know CavemanCharlie. The parking lot was soooo tight and to get out I had to jacknife the TT then I heard a POP! Knew something was pinched so I checked it down the road at the campground....ugh.

    Take care.

  • When you replace it check to see that it doesn't get pinched again. Maybe you can re-route it in a different way to avoid having the same problem next time.
  • Why the caps for YOU? Did I upset anyone with my question? This a forum for FELLOW campers right?
Any advice should be from the heart to help.

Thanks. I will measure and get the whole shebang. Better idea probably.

What length do you think is good for my truck, TT combo?

YOU will have to hook up your TV & TT and check to see if you would have enough length if you repaired it.
If not, YOU would have to measure from the j-box to the TV receptacle to determine the desired length.

No body can do it from a thousand miles away.
  • Your choice, a new trailer end is $6, a lot of your time, and you'll never have it right. A whole umbilical cable set is $26-$46 and will be worry-free.
  • ' my preference setting '? Is that for me? So you think replace the wire too? I was just thinking the length was long enough so I could cut and replace the plug.
    I'll check prices.

I'm not against patching things to get back home but I would just order a new one from ETRAILER and put it all back like it was before. This is a easy remove and replace item. The wiring on the trailer side will be color for color in the junction box...

I think ETRAILER has them in two different lengths with the molded 7-way plug already on the end of the cable.

    Just me... hehe
