Good advice so far. I have never done a TT but do rehab and flip mobile homes...same idea. Kilzs primer ( i think the old oil base stinky kind is best with plenty of ventilation ) then a very good grade of latex paint. Scrubbing is always good but may not be necessary if there is not a lot of grease etc on the walls. Good primer is a must!
