I purchased a new F-250 with the 7.3 PSD in 1996. In the ten years I owned it we put a bit over 200,000 miles on it. In that time I rebuilt the tranny at 120,000 miles and then put a Ford rebuilt trannie in it at 160,000mi. Other problems was the wiring to the injectors that were built into the valve cover gasket. Had to replace the gaskets because of injectors not firing. That also damage one injector that I had to replace. I also had to replace the glow plugs and the solenoid that turns them on and off.
And, I too, had to rebuild the front end at about 120,000.
Other than that I just did regular maintenance like oil changes etc.
