Sometimes the signs are put up because of lane widths, lane weight bearing ability, exiting and entering traffic, lack of enough shoulder room or any shoulder room, or God only knows what. Since you are NOT a truck, you are not bound to comply with the posted restrictions unless they appear beneficial for you to use. Just be sure to read the signs closely as some will specify a weight, width, or other restriction that may apply to your rig. Generally the LEOS will cut you slack even on these restrictions, but you can always meet the PITA who won't. Watch the solid white line between lanes as that part applies to all vehicles.
