Personally I'd have kept the truck and bought a smaller trailer it could handle but of course to each his own, so CONGRATS on being one who actually pays attention to forum commentary, gives it thought, decides there is merit to what is being offered, and is prepared to act to solve the issue at hand. :B
"Tg Is" danged auto correct butchers me on my phone alot. I have fat fingers and large hands. Should have been "this".
Getting a smaller trailer would have been my first choice as well, but I knew if we did that, the wife would just want to upgrade when the kids get bigger in a couple years. We often have 3-5 kids with us, so a larger bunkhouse was eventually going to be ki n the plan.
