That's great news, that t stat can't be more cheese ball, they should ashamed. I replaced ours with a not as cheap programmable from Walmart or the home store ,can't remember, had to find a smaller vertical one that would fit, nothing fancy I think it was about 25 bucks. It takes 1 triple A battery. Works great.
