Run 5100's on my truck. They work fine. I've seen this said a few times in here that the 4600's are valved stiffer for the heavy loads.
I know my shocks control my truck fine. They "dampen" the ride, which means they control the springs. I can't compare mine to 4600's but I personally would not replace good 5100's for a set.
