OP... I would suggest you try some of the GM/Chevy forums where you will get opinions from those that actually own/drive a similar truck and with a lift. The majority of "fuddy duds" that post here, without real experiences is redonkulous and dangerous.
I've towed with a 6" lift and 35" tires on the ole 2005 Ram CTD 3500, 8500lb TT to 23,000lb loaded goose neck, no issues!
Like I said check the GM/Chevy forums you'll get much better answers there then here!
