I've towed with a 6" lift and 35" tires on the ole 2005 Ram CTD 3500, 8500lb TT to 23,000lb loaded goose neck, no issues!
Like I said check the GM/Chevy forums you'll get much better answers there then here!
I don't disagree entirely with your comment, but there's a lot of grocery getters on those forums so you have to be careful over there as well.
OP,
who ever you're looking at to adding your lift you may want to ask them does the parts their adding still maintain the trucks towing/hauling ratings and perhaps back it up in writing for future reference if required.
