you can experience axle hop/wrap in a stock truck, deep snow, loose gravel combined with a more aggressive tire can produce axle hop/wrap.(see it all the time especially with DRW from 1 tons to tank trucks...get in some loose gravel or deep snow) Not just a condition of lifted trucks with or without blocks. If using blocks (that come with some lift kits) traction bars on the rear axle help in reducing axle hop/wrap.
Never said it can't happen to stock trucks. But knowing so, why make it even worse with lift blocks?
Traction bars would help, but I'm giving the OP the simplest approach - tall leaves, directly contacting axle housing.
Even if it doesn't hop, the extra stress put on the leaf pack, along with axle wrap under heavy load, is not good for any component. There's a reason not a single leaf-sprung commercial truck use blocks.
