Quick Anza Borrego Trip

Went to Anza Borrego State Park a few weeks back, it is my go to desert for the past 30+ years. Stayed in Blair Valley, which has some elevation, keeping the daytime temps in the low 90's. The dog is my best camping buddy, a 12 year old American Foxhound named Hazel.

  • Very Nice! I thought I was the only one crazy enough to go out there in the summer :) I bet you had the place to yourself! Have you tried to visit the mud caves in summer?
  • Trying to grasp Anza in July only reaching a high of low 90's. Must be higher than I thought.

Vic, you should make a desert pilgrimage someday. Anza, Mojave National Preserve, Death Valley, etc..
  • Very nice! I like your flag and flagpole mount. Something about camping in the desert that feels strange to me. Glad you had fun. I think I want to try it someday. Vic
  • Nice trip report and photos of Anza Borrego State Park. That place is definitely on our bucket list to stay at during the winter months sometime in the near future.
