quite pleased, so far :)

First trip. Roughly 12,000 lbs with trailer, generator, ATV, full FW tank plus all the camping goodies I'm getting a little over 9 mpg.

Pulls hills better than I had expected.

I think the original shocks with only 125,000 miles on them are due for replacement. LOL

I'm out of town working and being provided nice accommodations but will spend my first night camping Monday night. Can't wait. :)
  • Thanks fpr the reply! Ours is a bone stock 2008 2500 HD RWD only 6.0 Work Truch, hand cranks and all. No modifications at all. Except it runs on LPG/Propane, which comes at about half the price of gas here.

Our first camper was a Lance 915. It rode fine, but with a lot of sway.

The second camper was an Outfitter Apex 8 popup. Ride quality was excellent all around.

We are currently waiting for a new Northstar Arrow hardwall camper. I will install new Bilstein shocks and Torklift stable loads and we will see how that goes.

It has been a great truck in the past nine years. We bought it new and it is now only at about 40k mls. Mostly with a camper in the back.

    Have fub with your setup,
    Joerg
