Ram 1500 Diesel Towing Capacity?
5000, 7660, 4300. Those are tow ratings I've seen for this vehicle. What is the correct number? I'm in the market for a light pickup and prefer a diesel. Nissan hasn't released much info on their ab...

I drove into town and drove one today. The dealership had a 2014 with 30k on it that had been owned, actually titled, by their finance guy. I've requested an info sheet be emailed so I can know exactly what's what. I haven't rec'd it yet, but I have to say, the young guy who showed me the truck really knew his stuff. That's a very rare these days. It's a mid-line with cloth, 4WD, nav. Not as loaded as I had wanted but more than I need. They asked $36k plus all the pluses, tax, etc. I saw the MSRP sticker in the glove box, it was right at $50k. So two years old, 30,000 miles. If they'll get real on price and my research is positive, I am leaning towards buying it. Payload isn't important and tow capacity is 8450 if I remember right, and that's plenty as DW tows around 5k. Big obstacle right now is they don't want me to take it overnight, as all the other dealers I've talked to encouraged! I'll follow up later.
