I'd give it a couple of years in production before jumping on the bandwagon, and then I'd be checking forums very carefully to see what issues are cropping up. Bought a Liberty CRD and the issues were downright scary along with dealers that didn't know what to do with them. It did tow our boat beautifully, but never got the advertised mileage no matter how hard I tried. Sold it to a guy in Canada that was thrilled to have it, but I was glad to be rid of it. What I'm saying is Chrysler has messed this up once before, so my advice is to not buy their prototype.
