The Eco-Boost at best makes 24 MPG empty with the their highest gear ratio in 4X2 trim. The Eco-Diesel make 28 MPG as tested in 4X4 with the 3:21 gears.
As far as HP goes nope it's not competing with the EB. The ED was intended for the person that wants a truck but also wants great fuel mileage, something the Ford Eco-Boost has never been able to pull off.
But that's OK, luckily most of Americans are a lot smarter at simple math then some on this thread.
