If I were to ever downsize, there's no doubt I'd go with the Ram 1500 diesel. Not because I have a Ram 2500 CTD and think Ram rules. I've never owned a Ram before the one I own now, always Fords and one Nissan. It's because it gets 25-28 mpg on the highway. Probably get 18-20 towing a smaller TT. It's quiet inside and from what I've read has a smooth ride. Hard to go wrong with that. I think everyone gets diesel and towing mixed up. Just because it's a diesel doesn't mean it's supposed to tow 15,000 lbs. Diesel powered vehicles cover the whole spectrum of transportation. The Ram Eco is just another alternative to what's out there now.
