You can get the diesel in the lower trims just not in a regular cab. Not sure why unless it has to do with getting enough engines to the States. If they take off Fiat will have to start building them in Dundee or Trenton and that's a good thing for us!

I had no trouble doing a build on the Ram site getting a tradesman reg cab 8' bed with the 3.0. So you're saying that's not the case?
My point was more to the people that do not order. I am guessing (like all makes)it will be difficult to locate a lower optioned Eco Diesel on a lot. These vehicles are not really marketed to those pinching pennies on fuel costs to keep total cost of ownership down. They are marketed at those willing to finance the fuel savings but pay more up front. The net is a wash.
