The instant ROI on the "Eco-diesel". is you get the slowest modern full size pickup on the market with below average payload, and pay $4K MORE for the pleasure. Then pay 10% more for fuel, and roll dice that Dodge has improved their quality in the long term.
But it will be "torquey". Woohoo.
You can upgrade the performance substantially by getting the base V6, and taking $4K.
Or get the Hemi, for 3K less.
Perrysburgdodge = Dodge schill = get a life.
LMAO get a life you say???
Have you even test drove one of these trucks? I have and they are quick, but don't take my word for that, test drive one yourself. Sorry you can't figure out most people buying 1500 trucks are doing so because it's "cool". Most of the trucks in my hood never see anything other then bags of mulch the whole time their owners have them. So Ram sells to them. Again, unlike the others they don't try and make a 1500 into a want-to-be 2500. Want a 2500 buy one, want a 3500 then buy one or better yet, go by whatever it is that makes you all warm and fuzzy. I'm 100% sure it won't be a Ram so why are you even posting in a Ram thread, nothing better to do with your life?
Oh BTW maybe you should take your own advice and "get a life!"
