I find the full throttle acceleration unacceptable in the ecodiesel. Both gassers are quicker for $4K LESS
Mind you, I'm not a luddite, and therefore higher revving engines that start in the extreme cold don't scare me.
Yay for you! For 99% of drivers that have never experienced WOT...they find part throttle acceleration unacceptable in the gas engines while using 20-40% more fuel in the process.
From your cold temp comment, it is clear you have little experience with a diesel made in the last 8 years. I do not find your information credible.
So is everyone who buys a truck a city slicker then? I live out of town, and my day starts with a mile of side road, and then it's onto the highway at 70+mph and into the mix. So horsepower matters.
Do none of you pass on 2 lane roads? Or the 99% you speak of?
Pure BS.
Funny how gas engines are so undesirable on paper to 99%, but make up 97% of the North American market. Don't confuse oil burner bias for fact!
Pedal to the metal getting 5 mpg, isn't that what everyone does? So many people get fixated on peak hp and ignore power output in the RPM ranges they actually use.
