Haven't towed with one, but did test drive it. It was quiet, smooth, and yes, powerful. I had no sensation whatsoever that it was a diesel or lacking for power. The single word that stood out for me was "refinement" I've driven every half ton truck on the market today and can promise, there is nothing finer out there. It assured me it would have no problem pulling my camper or carrying the loads we require. If it's not enough, the simple solution would be, 2500/250, if that's not enough, move further up. It's not rocket science. That half ton diesel is an ideal combination, and if used within its capabilities will provide excellent economy, performance and unlike some vehicles I've owned, a whole lot of satisfaction. For those who wish to trash mouth, this truck, or Ram trucks in general, don't drive it. Words can become embarrassingly difficult to swalllow.
