It is and has been Rams stance that if you want to tow a mid to large RV with a Ram you should get a 2500 or 3500 truck. Sure Ram could put a 6 lug axle under the 1500 like GM and Ford do and compete in the 2000/200 truck market but we don't want to.
Why by a 150/1500 with HD parts on it? Just buy a 2500 and be done with it. The Ram 2500 has rear coil springs and the ride is much better then any HD 1/2 ton out there. If the 1500 Ram does not meet your needs and you want a 1500 diesel then I would wait for the Nissan or Toyota to come out and see what they have to offer.
Hybirdhunter I asked this a while ago and have yet to have you answer it, HAVE YOU DRIVEN THE 2014 Eco-Diesel? If not STOP POSTING about something you know nothing about!
Don
I will go test drive one this week......
I will take my happy / patience pills before going onto the freeway.
Tell me why the standard response to criticism of a heavy truck with a small 240hp engine is somehow verboten to you? If it were anything but a Dodge, You'd be bashing it all the way back to Italy. Fact. (think back to the 90's why did Dodge / Cummins power up the I6? Because it sucked performance - wise when compared to say a Dmax!
And just because Dodge's "1/2 ton" is incapable of handling what it's competitors can, does that justify purchasing an HD truck? That's donkey economics, the obvious solution is buy the competition.
