I kicked the tire on one last week on a dealer lot. It was the middle grade model with cloth interior and the sticker was $45k and change. Not a bad looking truck, but with only 1 on the lot, I suspect there will be very little discount on it.
As reported earlier the diesel option was $4k.
Also I'm not a fan of the dial gear selector and still prefer a center console or column shifter.
you're right; not many bargains out there now. i ordered mine in march & was fortunate to get an $11,250 discount from msrp. shortly after most of the rebates disappeared & dealer discounts dried up. more demand than supply. difficult to find one on a lot anywhere. my son shopped three states trying to find a decent deal. finally gave up & settled for second choice last week; ecoboost lariat. the shift selector is usually the first thing freinds ask about. after i quit reaching for shift lever it has become a nonissue.
and yes, the price of all trucks is ridiculous. my son's is just an ext cab lariat, next to the bottom trim level i think, & the msrp was north of $42k!!
