Chrysler is switching over to all cap less fuel tanks, not sure why but they are. I'll take credit for the little plastic cap your holding. Back when the new DEF Rams were hitting the lot I found this and was not happy!![]()
So I talked to the QC manager here at my plant and he sent the pics I took to the QC manager of the truck division. Looks like that is their fix. I was told they were going to add a bulb seal to the fuel cover also to help seal it.
Not sure why the single battery and no option to add duel batteries. Maybe the 3.0 cranks over easier then the Cummins :h.

Regarding these capless fuel fillers, Ford make a "accessory" locking cap to go on theirs, but I figure if I got one for grand-daughter's car, it would end up getting left laying on the pump at the gas station !
I like the "tethered" caps that are on my Nissan and Ford trucks.
