I had a Winnebago ERA for 2 years, nice van but the suspension was way overloaded and the overall noise level going down the road was not acceptable. Then the squeaks and rattles, decided I like rv's but do not want to ride in them.
At the time, a huge problem for the Sprinter diesel was excessive idle time, it can really cause issues. The next was proper oil choice and this thread is showing no difference with the ram eco diesel. The other issue that was the turning point is the lack of sprinter dealers on the road and finding a place to even do the deed, it was under full warranty and did not trust quicky places. One time was Mercedes dealer in Omaha, the next was Freightliner truck dealer in Michigan.
Too bad, I am interested in this truck as my 21 rbs only weighs in at 3500 lb, but this European diesel stuff is indeed a challenge once its in the driveway. Spoiled, 5.4 triton in a F150 with 140k on the clock and purring like a kitten. Just stop in any oil change place, tell them to dump in best priced full synthetic and drive on. Simple.
