I can't comment on the Ecodiesel but I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab that I purchased new in August of 2005. I have 110,000 miles on it and it still runs and looks like new. I pulled a 6000lb boat for many years and after that, I towed a 6500lb travel trailer. The only thing I have done to the truck is preventative maintenance and tires and brake jobs a few times. The Hemi has turned out to be a very durable engine. I change the oil every 4-5k miles and it doesn't burn a drop of oil between changes. The Hemi doesn't get the best fuel mileage (I get around 14 in town and 19 unloaded on the road) but it is a great engine.
