Ram 1500 or 2500

I sold my truck and travel trailer and will be buying a 25-30 foot Airstream.
To those that know about Airstreams: WIll a Ram 1500 be sufficient to tow it? Looking to buy a new truck and it will be a daily driver so mileage is important. Thanks in advance.

  • I highly recommend the 2500. The payload on the half ton Rams are pretty low. Take a 7000 pounds loaded TT with 1000 pounds of TW means something like 100-500 pounds of payload left for you, anyone else in cab, and bed full of gear.

You should really focus on which model TT you want and pick from that weight. Airstreams can get pretty heavy in the length range.
