Ram 1500 with 3.0 diesel
Continuing my research for a possible new(er) TV. Anyone own/towing with the Ram 1500 with the 3.0 diesel? Might be to small for my towing needs, but something to think about. Thanks,

I considered the Eco Diesel, at least on paper it only has 10 more ft lbs torque than the 5.7ltr, the weight and expense wasn't worth it to me. With my 5.7ltr I'm averaging 21mpg, while towing over the mountain passes around here tend to run 10/11mpg flatter towing runs around 13. That being said I'm sure my gasser would eat more fuel if I had a heavier TT, maybe a lot more.
