So are you saying an eco boost can out tow a 7.3L powerstroke?
An engine that has towed dang near anything and everything imaginable.

They didn't make much more HP than the ED does today.

Last generation 03' 7.3L:
250 @ 2,600 505 @ 1,600 (auto trans)
275 @ 2,800 525 @ 1,600 (man trans)

3.0L Eco Diesel:
240 hp @ 3,600 420 @ 2,000 rpm

That is EXACTLY what I am saying.

The little gas engine does not have close to the duty cycle that the big diesel has, but if the EB does not de-rate from the duty cycle, the EB will do WAAAAAAY more work than the 7.3 diesel.

Like I said, I have a 6.5 diesel with 200 HP and 425 ft/lbs of torque. The EB would eat my diesel alive if I tried to get to the top of a hill first.

I towed a 7k pound tt up Ike and I was down to 28 MPH at WOT.
Here is a little video that will show you what a blown gas engine is capable of.
We were towing pretty much the same GVW. Look at his speed. And this is with the tiny 2.7 EB engine!
