What year truck are you talking, used or new?
I had a 2003 2500 quad cab with the 5.7L hemi/3.73 gears and that was spec'd about 8800 lbs. I'd think depending on cab and whether or not it's 4wd you'd easily tow about 13,000 on a new 6.4 with 3.73 gears.
I didn't like the 3.73 ratio because it wouldn't tow as much as the 4.10, but for running around town I guess it was a decent compromise. The 6.4 should get much better mileage than my 15 mpg max.
