RAM 2500 6.4 Hemi 3.73 gears, Looking for Opinions

I am looking for opinions on this truck as a new tow vehicle, and what gears to got. Also looking at Ford and Chevy 3/4 tons. This will be a daily driver, with a short 10 minute commute. My driving...

It would be overkill IMO. Today's trucks have twice as much power and twice as many gears as 30 years go, as well as much broader power bands.
