Had a 2012 Ram 1500 Hemi 3.55 axle and towed a Hideout at about 6500 lbs. Got the 2014 Ram 2500 CTD CC and noticed about a 1 1/2 to 2 mpg improvement. I was actually a little disappointed at first, expecting more. However found myself traveling faster and rarely downshifting, exhaust brake is incredible, and traveling above 4000 ft altitude was much better. I did not like the Nascar sound of the Hemi at 4000 rpm, but Hemi is a good engine and to each his own. Oil changes for me are 6 months due to low use. We now have a fifth wheel (about 9000 lbs) and actually get better mileage with it over the travel trailer.
