I don't have the EPA stuff on my 2001, so doesn't matter too much, but seems since Ram went toe DEF, about the same a the 5.9's got, 11 to 12 towing, and about 20 at 65 or so.
Actually the console ir EVIC fuel mileage is more accurate than the hand calculated and for this reason:
The sensors and computer track actual fuel consumption on a continuous basis including how much is returned to the tank.resulting in a more accurate mileage fugure than one can by filling the tank and using the mileage numbers. The difference comes in with how much you actually put in the tank. And that differs, even if only slightly, each time and with the particular equipment at the pump.
Also I dont want to induce math errors by well meaning respondents.
That is why I asked for the EVIC readout.
This exercise has been interesting and the figures I see from all those that responded do correspond with what I have seen from other sources.
