I have 6000 miles on my 6.4L RAM 2500, over 3000 of it towing my 28' TT. I am VERY happy with this truck. My trailer weighs about 8000 lbs loaded. My RAM handles it with ease. The transmission in the truck is particularly good. I use cruise control as much as I can when towing and the tranny does a remarkable job holding speed both uphill and down. I rarely have to use the brakes, even through mountains.
The 3.73 rear end would have been plenty for me, but I wanted the 4.10 for the extra towing capacity in case I ever wanted a 5th wheel. With mixed driving unloaded I get about 16-18 MPG. Towing is always 9-11. If you are in an area with a lot of flat land you can get VERY good fuel economy. MDS loves the flats when not loaded.
