The chassis cab models use a derated engine with 4.88 gearing, so the towing experience will be different than your 2500.
You're going to be down about 50HP at 4,000 feet so your going to be around 315 HP. That's what the math says.
I would not want to tow 26K with 315 HP in steep mountains. Do you? Only you can answer that.
I have towed 15K in steep mountains with 200 HP. That was not much fun. It was fine on the flats but in the steep stuff it was no fun.
