I think that test showed they were all within 1 mpg or so loaded and empty, yet the hemi makes 50 more hp and 49 additional lbs-ft of torque when compared to the GM 6.0L gas engine.
The article in this topic suggests a 30% mpg improvement over the 6.0 GM but no mention of hand calcs that I could find.
True. He does seem like a stickler for mpg figures. Maybe hand calculated, maybe not. You would think he would use lie-o-meter figures or hand calc figures for both so he is comparing apples to apples, but who knows.
