I really don't understand statements like this. My 2011 RAM Oil and filter 7,500 miles, fuel filter 15,000 miles, Air filter when it tells you to change it, 35K on my air filter right now still no message telling me to change.
Dirt cheap in my opinion.
Cummins12V98, don't forget that so many of the quotes that complain of high maintenance cost are Ford owners, of the 6.0 and 6.4 even the 7.3 was a bit costly, can't wait to see the cost for the 6.7!
I have been sending samples to Blackstone and go 10,000 miles between oil changes.
We also have the advantage of Parts house, Dealer, OR Cummins parts house. The fact that Cummins is used on many OTR trucks and truckers don't like paying high prices for parts, they tend to be far more reasonable at the Cummins parts counter.
My Oil pressure sending unit failed at about 265,000 miles. Parts house $190 to $200, dealer about $189, Cummins $89.
Ford now has it's 6.7 owners in a choke hold, as they make the engine they can control the price of replacement parts.
