The Cummins 5.9 CR actually had only 555 lb-ft and 305 hp when it came out. And that's with the HD 48RE, the 47RE had 230hp.
Cummins2v98, don't think anyone would dispute that if you towed 15,000 miles a year, heavy, that you should stay with a diesel. That's not what the gassers are about. They're for folks that daily drive their trucks most the time, and tow heavy occasionally.
For THOSE, the cost of maintaining a modern diesel is unjustified. For you, it might be.
