If we saw the same video, I kind of get where you're coming from, but a 17000lb trailer is a pretty heavy beast to haul up that grade.
I'm not convinced that, under the same conditions, a Scorpion or DMax equipped truck would've done any better.
IMO the big 3 are so close in performance that, as we've seen in many tests, literally a couple of seconds separate 1st & 3rd place.

I predict all 3 will be very close in performance when the next big test is published.
