I the link he said 1995. And he left PUT before he went to Ford.
Why is it when I post something from All-Par I get told they work for Chrysler. Yes they do, but they are not doing side-by-side comparisons.
Well, if it's a fact allpar's guys work for Chrysler then it's a fair statement.
Answer my question, why is it when the Ram was at the bottom of the HP/TQ along with towing and payload they ran a Ram 3500 and not a 4500 or 5500? Wouldn't that have been fair?
Perhaps that's what Chrysler supplied them? Manufacturers supply the vehicles for the tests. And is there a real drivetrain difference between the 4500/5500 and the 3500? For the Ford it's the same drivetrains, just a beefier frame.
I'd also expect the Ford or GM to be bottom in any test of these trucks as they are the oldest of the bunch.
If you look at the Fastlane truck's tests, where they put the Chevy, Ford, and Toyota up/down the Eisenhower Pass GM didn't send a truck that could tow the load?
In the same vain, why did Motor Trend have to do a bogus tow test for the 2013 TOTY in order to cater to the Ram 1500? Rather than towing, say 8500 lbs for all of them or the max for them all?
