Simple.. ROOM... I'm 6'6, and my kids (while still toddlers), are off the charts on height.. My kids will be very tall, and after driving around in my small crewcab, a megacab is HIGH on the list for my truck's replacement. I wish other OEM's would make a large cab..
The one thing that I never understood, why does the f150 have more leg/head room than the HD? Never made any sense.
Well if I'm not mistaking, the crew cab on a 2012 dodge is much larger than the crew on an older chevy or gmc...but to each is own.
