ram 3500 oil change
2015 Ram 3500 diesel has 4800 miles 7 months new. dealer said I need to do oil change now. 2nd dealer says not yet, when should I computer says 62 left

For those that don't know. When you send in a sample you tell them what engine you have, year, length of time or hours on oil, oil quantity added if any. Plus other info, the bottom line is it's a very engine specific analysis. They also want to know what oil and maybe filter used.
And the other big thing is that they know what is normal for that specific manufacturers engine so you are getting results that are compared to similar engines. They do a tremendous number of oil analysis for a lot of fleet operations. They have a huge data base of information that is of great benefit to little guys like us.
